  1. It’s fun how the battle signs have little vocabulary and less grammar. While I’ll readily admit that sign language can be quite flexible and poetic, quite obviously that isn’t the point of this one. Limited vocabulary and syntax so it’s easy to learn and remember.

    Then again, I remember that old Shadowrun sourcebook about the Native American Nations that mentioned, off-hand, a resurrection of the sign language developed by the Plains nations in the 18th century, adding that it was as beautiful as it was efficient and complex. Theater shows using said language were mentioned (as a comment, Shadowrun-style) and compared to ballet.
