I hope that’s a magic shield, or she might have just lost her forearm. I suspect Liri and Mentl are both going to show up and make a mess of those forces. Plus he’ll be bringing much needed reinforcements as well. This last-stand battle is about to go very south for the Urrts. Liri just took away their best weapons, now she’s going to join the fight, and when Mentl shows up, he’ll blast their people back into their caves, shaking in fear.
Well she has those anti-magic cuffs of hers, hopefully they stopped most of it. Also, am I the only one seeing the horns on her helmet are suddenly reversed? They’ve been back-swept in all the other panels but are forward-swept here.
Hmm, I originally thought that maybe her cuffs made that shield appear, but now that you mention the horns… maybe this isn’t Zona? We’ll see in the next page!

Your right, Zona’s armor covered her legs, this one has cloth, plus you can still see Zona’s legs behind the explosion. And, if you look at the character list on-screen, Liri’s name is listed. So it is likely that it’s Liri. Still going to smart though…
There’s a shield on that arm. I’ll bet dollars to donuts, or the Erogenian equivalent, that Liri stepped in and is kitted up for battle. And Mama ain’t too thrilled with the Urtts hurting her baby, or her man. She’s got some things to sort, and it’s gonna be a bit messy…. at least for the Urtts.
Yeah, just enough difference that I’m inclined to think we now see a woman’s rage writ LARGE, and Liri’s been studying. I’m curious to know if she’s been able to glean any spells from the Giant library. I don’t think she would use Moon magic, as she and Keltan worship Thrasu. That said, the library was from a time long last, and who knows what was laid down before all the hypocrites got involved with the religion.
Maybe in the next strip we’ll hear Mentl blasting out “Jump back, Honky cat!” sending this jerk-wad flying across the battlefield landing with a dense “THUNK!” while steam/smoke wiffs off HIS chest…
I really hope there comes a time when Keltan grabs a certain Urtt High Priest and re-creates the Hulk vs Loki fight. Just litterally wipes the floor with him.
