In addition to everything else, apparently my barbarianprincess.com email does not work any more. Godaddy support tells me that the data got mangled – but it’s not their fault and they sent me to my registrar, Tucows. Tucows does not HAVE any support that I can determine yet, so I intend to beg or threaten Godaddy for some kind of workaround. In the meantime, use my address from my (largely dormant) sister site, classicalfantasie.com: JEDRAFT@CLASSICALFANTASIE.COM, and it will get to me.

I’ve been using pairDomains (https://www.pairdomains.com/ ) to host my blog for several years. I use my ISP’s email with Thunderbird as the front end, so I can’t address your email problem. pairDomains, however, has given me virtually trouble-free service for all that time, and on the very few occasions when there has been a problem, its support has been outstanding–prompt, responsive, and problem-solving. They’ve even helped me with a problem that wasn’t on their end but about which their support personnel happened to know something about. They’re quite proactive, too, in keeping their hosting service up to speed with updates and security updates.
The notices I get from them suggest they’re just as active, and proactive, with their email service.
It’ll be hard for you to find better than them.

Uggh. Twocows has had a really bad rep for more than a decade, GoDaddy almost from when it came out. I don’t know who is good, but the above recommendation is certainly something!

Besides time, the best thing that has helped me grieve has been doing something we.enjoyed doing together. At first I did them alone, but later I found sharing those things with others helped re-ground me. As an example we had one friend who is the life of the party. Every year we host a party on his birthday – Dave’s Memorial Birthday Bash, its held at a venue the frequented. Any extra money raised goes to the hospital they volunteered at. That both keeps them alive in our hearts, and helps others in their name.
I just got some interesting spam with this websites’ name on it. It was not germane to the topic, unless you’re now doing Ethiopian porn.

I look on directly to the home page and found Android helpfully suggested a translation from the Russian that was found there. Turned out to be pushing a casino app.
It’s worse than that!
Looks like the first instance of infiltration is a post dated “January 23, 2022” about some Ethiopian sex channel.
The next is dated “January 23, 2024” and is about Microsoft Toolkit Activator for Windows 8.1!
Then, there’s 150+ pages filled with Russian casino adverts with various datestamps from 2024 to the present.
And today, I can see what are most likely the same advertisments, but this time in what looks like Finnish, with today’s datestamp.
Also, I noticed that the site was unreachable yesterday (at the times I tried to access it, 1400~1600 UTC) due to security certificate issues.
I’m pretty sure the ‘earlier’ posts have fake datestamps, as I remember reading some of the legitimate posts, and the suspicious ones weren’t there than.
