KELTAN, IPOLA, ZONA and MENTL walking outside, one of the towers in the distance.

KELTAN: Where are we going, your Majesty?

IPOLA: I hope you’ll forgive me, Keltan, as I know you did want to meet the kittens. Still, you’ll have plenty of time with them in the months before they’re ready to leave with you, and I have been very anxious to show you this.

KELTAN: Show me what? Zona? Mentl?

MENTL: Hey, I’m still basically a stranger in town. Never been to this part of the Valley.

IPOLA: You’ll see.

KELTAN: Well … okay. Anyway, thank you for these clothes you gave us. I’ve never had anything this nice in my life. I’m surprised you were able to make them for us so fast. And they fit so well …

IPOLA: We didn’t make them, Keltan. They were already here.

KELTAN: What?

IPOLA: I know, I was a bit surprised myself. They were in the place we’re going to now, an underground chamber … very very old.

KELTAN: Oh … underground? Like, a tunnel? Are you sure I’ll … you know … fit?

IPOLA: I don’t really think it will be a problem.

  1. So before anyone says anything, yes, Keltan looks a bit different. This is him as a Genesis 8 version, which we’re pretty much gonna keep for awhile. All the major characters are now transitioned to G8 or G8.1, and with a few notable exceptions we’ll be doing the strip in Daz Studio from now on.

Meanwhile, we’re about to learn some things about Giants. Won’t that be fun?

    Warm regards,

    JED

  2. My very first thought…. “Nan back on earth would flip out over that emerald dress!”

    1. She will when she sees it. 🙂

      1. So is that a promise that Nan is coming back? And Kevin? Because you can’t have HollyShould without Hercules, because like duh, what would be the point?

  3. All the faces are a bit different. This explains it.

    Thank you

    1. We’ve been transitioning for a year. The Patrons at Patreon.com have seen them all as they appear. Zona was first, of course. Tula, Ipola and then Mentl. The rest follow.

  4. I don’t know the difference between the rendering programs, but that first panel is definitely not a very good rendering of Ipola. It looks like she’s wearing Clown makeup. Zona, however, looks particularly hot. I guess there’s no accounting for how a character will transition from one program to the next.

    1. Interesting. Just FYI, the textures for both the Zona and Ipola models are the same. A lot of what you perceive might simply be a lighting effect or perspective in the simulated camera? Not sure.

      Warm regards,

      1. Understood. In panel 3, she appears to have some kind of symbols painted on her cheeks. In panel 1, along with the crown she is wearing, plus the distance perspective, seems to be what is causing the effect. Love her dress though. She aint NOTHIN’ but HOT!

        1. That’s a shadow cast from her hair. 🙂
Notice that Zona also has some shadow on her face from the bangs on the right side.

          Warm regards,

          JED

  5. I like Mentl’s vest, is it armoured?

    1. It’s tough leather and better by far than wearing a T-shirt, but it’s not a brigandine.

Unless I want it to be. 🙂
      Warm regards,

  6. What fabric is Ipola’s dress meant to be? The sheen on it looks like modern day synthetic fabrics… But I guess it could also be silk?

    1. It’s a satin made from the silk of a native Erogenian spider. Very rare and expensive. Hey, sometimes it’s good to be the Queen.

      🙂

      Warm regards,
      JED

  7. Why do I only see hearts and not pictures

    1. I’m very sorry, but I don’t know. What browser are you using?

      Warm regards,
      -JED

  8. I was able to see the page at the beginning, then I saw a black/grey heart, now there is nothing but the description.
I’m on Firefox 97.0.1 (64-Bit) however it has been acting up a bit the last few days, so there might be a bug somewhere.

  9. Okay, the site really have problems loading right for me, and I can’t go back and forth. Can’t read the current page either. :/ I hope you can fix whatever issue is now plaguing the site, because it’s increasingly hard to read the comic.
I will, of course, keep trying to access the comic. (If it helps there’s no connection at all on Chromium, and badly on Firefox).

  10. So … apparently it works on my phone’s browser, but the pages aren’t easy to read on the smaller screen. I hope for a fix for the computer issue.

  11. Good grief, I saw some issues in Firefox, and I see what they’re talking about with the hearts – at some point it was making the “like” heart full-screen!
I flushed the cache of WordPress and reloaded, and it came back normally for me. No idea what all is going on, but I’ll definitely work it. We just updated the WP theme I use. Starting to think more and more that I should take the whole thing down for awhile and redo from scratch, but I REALLY don’t want to do that.

    Warm regards,

    -JED

    1. Just to let you know it reloaded fine today, just needed to remove the ‘s’ in https as usual. 🙂 So looks like what you did worked.

  12. Microsoft Edge

  13. Hmmm. so the giants were there before. now the giants and dragons are returning.
