  1. Well, one of the giants attributes is invulnerability to fire. But, teeth, talons and tails are a different matter. Still, Lori is smaht really smaht, and I think that will stand her in good stead.

  2. A fitting quote, especially as Liri will be facing a great being with “Tooth and Claw”.
Great to see there are Whovians about ๐Ÿ˜›

    1. You have one right here, I started watching back in ’74 on a PBS channel back then, they didn’t edit out the 30 minute cliff-hangers of each story line so I have both Pertwee and Baker’s intro’s fully memorized…

  3. When Zona fought with Keltan when they first met, she only inflicted minor damage to his legs. an easy job to banadge up and he was able to return to his daily life the next day. Not to mention all the spears, arrows, and such he’s brushed off as “annoying.” I have little doubt Lori is the same way, but she’s in no way a fighter, so it could be possible to kill her, but it would take time. All the while she’d be running away as fast as she could.

  4. “some of them have vulnerable spots in the underbelly”
    Hobbit reference?

    1. Lizards have most of their natural armor on their backs, but I think a flying one would have it much better that one that only travels on the ground… So yeah it must be, Smaug had only one missing scale on his belly, and the surrounding one’s looked a foot thick.

  5. Glad to hear you’re on the mend, mine was like that, plus the chest pain that felt like a sledge hammer to the sternum. I was lucky, very minor damage, just had some stints and now I have to take a blood thinner and a med that gives me a bad headache before bed every day. Like I tell my sons, this getting old bit is gettin’ ole!

  6. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Holidays to all,๐ŸŽ„

  7. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

  8. Oi! Merry Chirstmas to ye all too, mateys!

That quote from Doctor Who… hmmm… Books, being the best weapon in the world? I know this is metaphorical, but I’ve yet to see a book stopping any rifle bullet. ๐Ÿ˜›

    1. The world is a strange place. From:
      https://www.awm.gov.au/articles/blog/graham-spinkston-and-the-book-that-stopped-a-bullet

“It was the book that stopped a bullet, but Graham Spinkston never actually got around to reading it.

The book, The Taste of Courage, was in one of the army pouches around Spinkstonโ€™s waist when it was pierced by an AK47 round during the battle of Nui Le in Vietnam, and is now on display in the Australian War Memorial.”

  9. Technically, you’re talking about armor, not weapons. But the Mythbusters did prove that books CAN have some armor value. In the episode “Dive to Survive” the Build Team story “Phonebook Freedom” covered a vehicle with phone books and discovered that enough of them could resist most small arms fire. They actually had to step up to literal sniper weapons to penetrate a couple layers of phone books.

On the other hand, stepping up to sniper weapons might be an apt metaphor for facing off with a dragon, so hopefully Liri’s plan is sound.

  10. I think Liri is gonna have a nice long conversation with the dragon mother and the urrts won’t like it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Also: the webpage redesign is so different! That will take a little getting used to.

  11. The Urrts were stabbed in the foot when that moron of a leader stabbed the guy that controlled the dragons in the back. Plus those lame-brains treat them like they do anyone else, beating them to get them to work. that’s like a farm hand that likes to jab the bull in the backside with a sharp stick, sooner or later he’s going to catch some air… Or at least discover another “pointed” truth lol.

  12. Wow, came to see if there was a new page, found a new website! lol Looks great, good job!
