  1. Well, I guess when you’re a bit of a prick the prick is just a bit too…

    1. In his own imagination, at least.

      🙂
      Warm regards,
      JED

  2. …Ow… my eyes… I did not need to see that…

    1. It’s for the good of the story. Carry on – it won’t last much longer.

      Warm regards,
      JED

      1. “Carry on – ”

        My wayward son? ^^

        1. Heh.

          -Warm regards,
          JED

      2. Please, please, PLEASE tell me that double entendre was unintended. To remain sweet, my own imagination requires hearing that it was unintended regardless of whether it was.

        1. There are no intentional double entendres in the page or in the comments.

          Promise. 🙂

          Warm regards,
          JED

  3. MY EYES! MY POOR INNOCENT EYES! AAAAH!

    1. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to look again.

      Warm regards,
      JED

  4. Now there’s a transition. What was that quote again? “Du sublime au ridicule il n’y a qu’un pas.” (“There is only one step from the sublime to the ridiculous.”, attributed to Napoléon Bonaparte who apparently rephrased it from Thomas Paine, but since Paine’s quote is far longer I’ll go with Napoléon.)

I’ve long been pitying Maldik much more than hating him, and this page only reinforces the sentiment.

    1. Juuuust wait a bit.

      Warm regards,
      JED

  5. Who is Anina again?

    1. According to her tag ( https://barbarianprincess.com/character/anina/ ), she’s someone we’ve never seen before.

      1. Also, I have not had the time to go back and tag all the hundreds of pages that didn’t have them before. But because I love you kids, here’s a link to her first appearance:

        1. Hey, so it is her! I have to admit that what with the differences in lighting, expression, and stance, she looked more like another servant girl not unlike the one he beat up on way back. (I tried to archive dive and couldn’t find it before the bell rang, so if someone is prepared to go for it, by all means, please do.)

She does look more skinny now than then, methinks. But now I see the resemblance.

    2. We just never knew her name. She first appeared a looong time ago.

      Warm regards,
      JED

  6. That’s a pretty impressive imagination he’s got there.

    1. He’s had a crush on Tula for years.

      Warm regards,
      JED

    2. He’s a legend in his own mind.

  7. Naked Maldik is not something I wanted to see.
On the other hand, I came to pity the guy. Does that mean I am forgiving him? now. But I feel pity… And even more now.

  8. Well, as I said. Wait. This chapter is gonna get a bit interesting.

    Warm regards,
    JED

  9. Ah, impossible dreams and fantasies of never-will-be. I sympathise, I do, if only a little.

    1. Well, watch this space. I just wrote this one because I needed a break from the Sun Tribe, and it fills in some blanks in my narrative.
      Warm regards,
      JED

  10. X’-D Amina’s speach… She sounds so unimpressed.

    1. She sounds as excited as any 1970s porn queen. 🙂

      Warm regards,
      JED

  11. Well. That was a gear shift.

  12. Indeed…

ANINA: Oh yes. Yes. So good!

Not to backseat drive, but… I suspect that exclamation point was a mistake: 🙂

ANINA: Oh yes. Yes. So good.

…unless, of course, she doesn’t want to risk pissing Maldik off (which is a possibility).

  13. Well, I’ll say this for the ambitious little creature—she’s getting everything she deserves. 🙂
