Godaddy support tells me that the data got mangled – but it’s not their fault and they sent me to my registrar, Tucows. Tucows does not HAVE any support that I can determine yet, so I intend to beg or threaten Godaddy for some kind of workaround. I’ve been using pairDomains (https://www.pairdomains.com/ ) to host my blog for several years. I use my ISP’s email with Thunderbird as the front end, so I can’t address your email problem. pairDomains, however, has given me virtually trouble-free service for all that time, and on the very few occasions when there has been a problem, its support has been outstanding–prompt, responsive, and problem-solving. They’ve even helped me with a problem that wasn’t on their end but about which their support personnel happened to know something about. They’re quite proactive, too, in keeping their hosting service up to speed with updates and security updates.
The notices I get from them suggest they’re just as active, and proactive, with their email service.
It’ll be hard for you to find better than them.

Besides time, the best thing that has helped me grieve has been doing something we.enjoyed doing together. At first I did them alone, but later I found sharing those things with others helped re-ground me. As an example we had one friend who is the life of the party. Every year we host a party on his birthday – Dave’s Memorial Birthday Bash, its held at a venue the frequented. Any extra money raised goes to the hospital they volunteered at. That both keeps them alive in our hearts, and helps others in their name.
I just got some interesting spam with this websites’ name on it. It was not germane to the topic, unless you’re now doing Ethiopian porn.

Just at the moment, we’re temporarily stalled on the animation project. So we’ve taken advantage of the lull to revisit the Gen 8 model of Zona, and I think this time, even more than last, we’ve hit it on the head. My heart is heavy tonight. We had to say goodbye to my dear constant companion and the inspiration for all the black cats in “Challenges Of Zona”, my beloved friend, P-Chan. He was very old and finally was very confused and in great pain. So we eased him into Summerland Thursday evening. Nonetheless, he’s still there in the past and in my memories, and in Inky and in Incus and in the one-eyed winged cat from the Otherwhen. (Yes, long-time readers will remember when he lost his eye to an abcess, years ago.)
I was approached by some of my fellow Webcomic creators about a Valentine’s Day cross-promotion where we create sexy images of our characters and put them out there along with everyone else’s for Valentine’s Day.
“Sexy stuff!?” I cried, aghast, “With Zona? Heaven forfend!”

Over the past year, my Patreon patrons have been generously giving me money to pursue my vision of an animated web series based on The Challenges Of Zona. In return they get early updates, desktops and other fun stuff. But all of it has had one goal. And we have just passed the first milestone on the way to that goal.
I have just made the first payment to a talented young animator who is contracted to produce a 61-second fully animated trailer for The Challenges Of Zona.
We’re both really enthusiastic and I have high confidence that, within the next month or two we will have something to show folks that we’re serious about bringing a new fantasy phenomenon to the web.
I needed all of you, patrons and fans alike to support me in this and you have not disappointed. Eventually everyone will see the end product, but Zona’s patrons will be in on all the latest updates, new character models, tests, renders and everything as it happens, plus any other extras we can give in humble gratitude.

R.I.P – P-Chan
